IntroductionEast Coast Energy
Solutions is working to *reduce our
dependence on foreign oil, reduce dependence on petroleum consumption, combat
global warming and reduce the pollution of carbon dioxide and greenhouse gases being emitted from our cars and trucks in
New Jersey. Henry Ford stated, “Most people spend more time and energy going around
problems than in trying to solve them.” We will be an organization that does their part to help solve our
energy problem. ECES was formed for the
sole purpose of building and operating a 40 million-gallon per year
environmentally friendly
integrated
cellulosic ethanol
biorefinery facility in Conversion to Alternative Feedstock
ECES plans on operating it’s facility on 100% cellulose or waste starch feedstock as soon as possible. Feedstocks available to make ethanol in addition to corn are sorghum, sugar beets, fodder beets, hulless barley, corn stover, shredded corn cobs, wheat straw, switchgrass, cattails, wood chips, Municipal Solid Waste, algae, beer-beverage-candy, and paper waste, leaves, grass clippings, unused mill residues, residues from construction and demolition sites, branches, old pallets, and other waste sources. During the development/construction period ECES will
explore each of these alternative feedstocks to determine the ones that are most
economically beneficial to both the facility and the local communities. Ethanol production is made in a “batch process” which
allows multi-streaming of feedstocks into the ethanol manufacturing process. The facility will
initially utilize corn as feedstock until cellulosic technology is feasible and
commercially viable. We intend to purchase as
much of our corn supply from our own local farmers as possible. The
ethanol will be distributed to blending refineries throughout
Our MissionWe want to make our country and communities a better place to live for coming generations by converting domestically grown plant materials into clean, renewable energy, reduce our dependence on foreign oil and combat global warming. We will seek out local partners and look forward to making a positive difference in the community and in our country! We intend to operate our plant in a safe, efficient and profitable manner creating long-term value for the local farmers, for the local community, for our employees, and for our shareholders. We believe every town can be a bio-town.

company, we believe that our values of hard work, honesty, and integrity will

Economic EnginesOur ethanol manufacturing plant will serve as an economic, industrial, *agricultural and rural economic engine for the surrounding area - creating good-paying jobs, value-added markets for farmers and increased state and local tax revenue.
